Serving Events

Plenty Of Ways To Get Involved!

Being a vibrant community that serves is one of the things that we at Faith strive for. We believe that being the hands and feet of Christ means becoming involved in serving the community as Jesus did. You will not find a shortage of service opportunities here. Because we place an emphasis on volunteers, this allows us to free up money that would need to be spent on hiring staff and personnel. This money can then be used to continually spread the Gospel both locally as well as all over the world.

Church Property Care

Our desire is to keep the building and grounds in great condition and in order to do that, the more hands the better. By doing this it helps support the ministries that are taking place as well as providing good witness to the community. If you have a gift in this way or just love working outdoors, please sign up to give us a hand. Contact David Miller for more information or to get involved today.

Compassionate Care

A ministry designed to bring comfort, fellowship, love, instruction, needs assessment, discipleship and connectedness to the sick, elderly, hospitalized, shut-ins and families in need. For more information please contact Jerry Brown.

Communications

Currently we do not have a formal department or team in this area. That being said we are exploring the possibility of creating one. Should you have some creative gifts in the way, please contact Lindsey Hulstrom for more information.

Custodial Care

Because we place a high priority on serving, this allows the church to keep staff costs very low while still providing great services throughout the building. Custodial care does just that and we can always use more help. Please contact Steve Spata to get involved or for more information.

Greeting/Hospitality/Funerals

Our greeting ministry is critical and vital to the health of the church. Our desire is to have people who wear a nice smile and make people feel welcome with a warm greeting as they enter FCC. Hosptiality falls into that category as well as serving families needs at funerals and memorial services. Please contact Teri Macejkovic to get involved or for more information.

Living Water (Community Care)

Galatians 6:10 says, "While we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are in the household of faith." Our primary objective is to share the love of Jesus Christ with those who attend FCC as well as with those in the surrounding community by offering assistance with household projects that the resident is unable to perform or in some cases afford. If you are handy, please contact Kevin Schmidt to get involved or for more information.

King's Closet

The King's Closet is a FREE clothing service available to all residents of Jefferson County. With a suggested donation of one non-perishable food item, participants can shop for clothing items ranging from infant to adult. All donated food items help support the King's Cupboard Food Pantry which also serves resident of Jefferson County. For more information, to get involved or to provide us with lightly used clothing as a donation, please contact Greg Schueller.

King's Cupboard (Food Pantry)

This is a ministry designed to provide non-perishable food items, toiletries and other household items to those families in need in Jefferson County. The King's Cupboard is supplied through donations, both food and money and can't sustain itself without either. Our desire is to not only pass on items but to share the love of Christ and to meet peoples spiritual needs as well. Please contact Ben Mueller for more information, to make a donation or to get involved.

King's Servants

King's Servants is a ministry of men, women and students with a desire to serve Christ by serving others. Whether housework, meal provision, errands or just a visitation, the goal of this ministry is to serve others by taking care of temporary needs. Please contact Tammy Doellstedt for more information or to get involved.

Salvation Army (Red Kettle Program)

Every year, the Red Kettle Program helps over 6 million people with food, clothing and toys during Christmas. This program does not happen without volunteers ringing the bells and FCC has decided to do something about that. Should you have a desire to serve in this capacity, please contact Shirley Brown for more information.

Technical Arts

Our tech arts team is always looking for people in the following areas:

  • Video: From operating cameras, video switchers and recording, to setting up video equipment as needed for
    various church ministries
  • Lighting: From simple service lighting to concerts and programs: lighting design, programming, operating lighting console, special effects.
